Mahesh Bhatt: Blame Me For Mr. X Failure
The filmmaker does a U-turn on his earlier statement where he had blamed Fox Star Studios
Mr. X, directed by Vikram Bhatt, tanked at the box office. Naturally, the Bhatts who had produced the sci-fi thriller weren’t too happy with the outcome. Rumours even suggested that they had blamed Fox Star Studios for the films miserable performance. They felt that they had a good product in hand but it was not promoted well by the corporate studio.
Mahesh Bhatt was even quoted in a report earlier today where he insinuated that the film fared badly because of its poor marketing.
However, he has had a change of mind now. The filmmaker recently posted a tweet where he took the onus for the Emraan Hashmi-Amyra Dastur-starrers failure. He cited that the movies content was the reason behind its terrible run at the box office.
He took the high road and further added that he doesnt blame the marketing team of Fox for the unfortunate situation.
